History and Ethics

An International Association for Building, Town Planning and the Environment, which brings together professionals in « the act of building »,  COBATY International was derived from the French association COBATY France, which was itself founded 50 years ago by men who wished to favor communication over confrontation.  

The gathering together of professions as various as these of architects, lawyers, financiers, engineers, entrepreneurs, material makers, geometricians or town planners, all belonging to the private sector, but also of representatives from public or mixed-economic sectors, through a permanent dialog between these professionals and through a privileged dialog with these public collectivities, allows for the implementation of a process which aims at making living conditions better. COBATY International is proud of its independence and asserts itself as an apolitical, non-corporatist and non-denominational association, acting for the defense of general interest.

Through the realization of these aims:

• Contributing to the bettering of living conditions, maintaining building's quality while protecting the environment;
• Creating interest on the part of youth towards professions in the sectors of building, town planning and the environment;
• Favoring social recognition towards these professions

COBATY International aims, through the assertion of its values and the exemplarity of its actions, at developing its establishment through the creation of new associations, relying on women and men sharing the same ambitions.
